NSW Government Department require a driven Facilities professional to join their busy team. Located in Sydney CBD, the Facilities & Built Infrastructure Group deliver the facility management, construction, capital works and sustainability plans to deliver safe, productive and comfortable premises for staff, users and visitors.
Responsibilities Include:
Managing churn, capital replacement and building refurbishment projects
Monitoring the performance of service providers and contractors
Overseeing the delivery of high to moderate risk maintenance matters and working with the engineering and asset managers re operational risks
Demonstrated experience managing FM essential services, mechanical equipment including air conditioning systems, lifts, fire etc.
Assist in the development of FM policy
Monitor the maintenance budget and expenditure
You will be trade or tertiary qualified and have sound knowledge of facilities maintenance, capital works, asset management, building codes, standards, legislation and industry regulations at a senior level. You must have strong client orientation, communication and be highly skilled at establishing and maintaining productive working relationships. Public Sector procurement and heritage assets exposure would be beneficial.
You will bring to the role a proven track record in FM and project delivery and an extensive working knowledge of large portfolio maintenance.
The role is for a contract period, initially of 6 months and paid on an agency basis at a rate of around $600/day plus super, possibly up to $700 for the most suitable and experienced candidates. The position will likely be extended to 12 months pendent on performance.
