- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday ONSITE
- Hours: Flex between 7am - 5:30pm
- 4-week TEMP assignment
Your new role
The Facilities Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of a high-profile justice precinct located in Melbourne’s CBD. Focused on maintaining a safe, compliant, and functional environment, the role involves coordinating maintenance activities, liaising with contractors and stakeholders, and ensuring the smooth delivery of facility services. With a strong emphasis on responsiveness and operational support, the Coordinator helps uphold essential safety standards, contributes to emergency management procedures, and supports documentation and procurement processes. Prior experience in facilities coordination—particularly within public sector or justice environments—is essential.
Coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across the precinct
Monitor contractor performance and support delivery of facility services
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and act as Chief Warden when required
Liaise with internal stakeholders and tenants to resolve facility-related issues
Assist with procurement, asset tracking, and operational documentation
What you'll need to succeed
You’ll bring proven experience coordinating facilities in complex or high-use environments, ideally within the public or institutional sector. A grasp of the Building Code of Australia, Essential Safety Measures, and occupational health and safety legislation is essential. You’ll also have a background in vendor coordination, building compliance, and service contract delivery. A relevant trade, technical qualification, or tertiary education in property or facilities management will be highly regarded, along with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
