Hays is currently partnering with a large public sector organisation to recruit an experienced Level 3 Executive Assistant for a short-term temporary assignment. Supporting a Senior Executive, this role requires a proactive and highly organised EA who can operate confidently in a fast-paced, confidential environment. Your new role
You will provide high-level administrative and executive support, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Executive office while liaising professionally with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing confidential executive support including diary management, correspondence, agendas and minutes
- Proactively coordinating meetings, events, travel and accommodation
- Preparing and collating briefing materials, presentations, reports and follow-up actions
- Acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders, screening and redirecting enquiries as required
- Supporting the preparation and coordination of executive and ministerial correspondence
- Maintaining accurate records and information management practices
- Assisting with committee coordination, including minute taking and action tracking
This is a hands-on support role requiring strong judgement, discretion, and the ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience as an Executive Assistant supporting senior executives in a complex, professional environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a confident, diplomatic approach
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential and sensitive matters
- Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate executive support needs
- Experience in a public sector or large organisation environment is highly regarded
- Current or ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
