Executive Assistant temporary assignment for a local council

A well‑established public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high‑level administrative support during a busy period. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a fast‑paced environment and make an immediate impact.

Your new role

As the Executive Assistant, you will provide confidential, efficient and proactive support to senior leadership. You will be responsible for managing complex diaries, preparing high‑quality documentation, coordinating meetings, and acting as the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Key duties include:
  • High‑level administrative and executive support
  • Preparing and formatting correspondence, reports and presentations
  • Managing agendas, minutes and meeting coordination
  • Coordinating workshops, events and travel arrangements
  • Providing professional front‑facing communication for senior leaders
  • Supporting project work and assisting with organisational documentation
  • Maintaining accurate record management and document control
This role requires exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to operate with discretion and professionalism at all times. It will also require some work outside of standard business hours.


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you will bring:
  • Strong minute‑taking, agenda preparation and meeting coordination capability
  • Excellent communication skills—written and verbal
  • High‑level proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong initiative, judgement and the ability to work autonomously
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive relationships
Experience within government or the public sector will be highly regarded.
