Hays Recruitment, alongside a local government client, are currently seeking an experienced Executive Assistant or a highly experienced Senior Administrator to support the Managing Director in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. With a 2-day commitment per week starting ASAP until December 2025, this allows you the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a role that offers flexibility, impact, and variety. Your new role
- Diary & Calendar Management: Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel using Outlook and Microsoft Office suite.
- Correspondence & Communication: Drafting professional emails, letters, and reports with precision and clarity on behalf of the client
- Inbox & Enquiry Management: Monitor and respond to incoming communications, ensuring timely and appropriate follow-up.
- Meeting Preparation: Organise agendas, take minutes, and ensure the MD is fully briefed for all engagements.
- Confidential Support: Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Office Coordination: Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to support the MD’s strategic priorities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar Senior Administrative role (Tertiary education in a relevant field highly desirable).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Suite.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- A proactive mindset and a professional approach.
- Ability to clear National Police Check and State Government Compliance forms and provide excellent references (minimum 1/preferably 2)
