A respected name in earthmoving equipment is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious equipment Inspector to join their team in Bayswater. This is a full-time opportunity, beginning with a 1-month casual trial period, working Monday to Friday, approximately 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Your new role

This role is critical in ensuring hire equipment is maintained to high standards and delivered in “Ready to Dig” condition. The Equipment Inspector will carry out pre- and post-hire inspections, perform basic servicing, and work with the Yard Team to coordinate the turnaround of machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed equipment inspections using internal checklists
• Document faults, damage, or missing components
• Carry out minor mechanical repairs or servicing as required
• Identify equipment requiring further mechanical work or cleaning
• Assist with yard coordination and equipment handovers
• Maintain compliance with WHS and operational procedures

What you'll need to succeed

• Prior experience in machinery inspections or servicing
• Strong mechanical aptitude; higher rates apply to stronger skillsets
• Proven ability to work methodically and safely in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to support broader yard responsibilities as needed
• Reliable, punctual, and team-focused
