A leading large-scale switchboard manufacturer is seeking a reliable and motivated Electrical Trade Assistant to join their end‑to‑end manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity to secure full-time hours within a well‑established organisation, with a genuine opportunity to transition to permanent employment based on performance.
Your new role
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will support qualified tradespeople across the complete switchboard manufacturing lifecycle, from initial assembly through to testing and dispatch. This is a hands‑on, workshop‑based role within a fast‑paced and safety‑focused environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the assembly and wiring of electrical switchboards
- General Electrical TA duties across production and manufacturing
- Preparation of components, tools, and materials
- Cable preparation, labelling, and basic termination work
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Supporting testing, quality checks, and final fit‑out activities
What you’ll need to succeed
- Previous experience as an Electrical Trade Assistant or similar role
- Exposure to switchboards, electrical panels, or manufacturing environments (highly regarded)
- White Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to read and follow basic drawings or work instructions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team‑focused attitude
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
