Our client is seeking an experienced EL1 Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major Scheme and Payments Platform program. Reporting to the Program Director, you'll be responsible for coordinating technical planning, managing delivery partners, and ensuring successful implementation of ICT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical planning for new features and capabilities, working closely with specialist teams in the Technology Services Division (TSD).
• Develop and maintain project schedules, balancing technical dependencies with business priorities.
• Oversee delivery of all technical components, including system architecture, cybersecurity, and solution design.
• Manage external delivery partners and ensure alignment with internal teams.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum teams, and RTEs to support agile delivery and resolve technical issues.
• Represent the project in ICT change management and release planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with TSD standards, including cybersecurity assessments and testing.
• Apply DevOps practices to improve delivery quality and reliability.
• Use TSD's project management tools to track progress, risks, issues, and decisions.
• Publish weekly status reports and maintain a collaborative team environment.
• Provide leadership in ICT delivery and promote continuous improvement.

What you'll need to succeed

Key Selection Criteria
Candidates will be asked to address the following in their application:

• 8–10 years of experience managing ICT projects, including mobile applications.
• Strong knowledge of modern project management frameworks and methodologies.
• Experience delivering projects in Federal or State Government environments.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and certifications (e.g., Diploma of Project Management, SAFe Agile).
• Proven experience with large-scale agile delivery.
