Your new role
As an EL1 Remuneration Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in delivering annual remuneration reviews and maintaining the department’s global remuneration model. This position is open to experienced EL1s or high-performing APS6s ready to step up.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting annual reviews of salary and non-salary benefits across 100+ overseas missions
  • Applying actuarial data and market intelligence to determine salary adjustments
  • Maintaining and enhancing the Excel-based remuneration analysis model, including PowerQuery
  • Ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and centralisation for strategic decision-making
  • Leading procurement and integration of market data from external suppliers
  • Managing the annual data survey process across all overseas missions
  • Providing high-level strategic advice and quality assurance
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including Heads of Mission and Senior Administration Officers
  • Representing the department in professional engagements and resolving complex remuneration assessments

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Minimum NV1 security clearance (essential)
  • High-level expertise in HR, accounting, and remuneration analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills, including PowerQuery and model maintenance
  • Strong analytical capability with economic and remuneration data
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex assessments and deliver strategic outcomes
