Your new role
As an EL1 Remuneration Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in delivering annual remuneration reviews and maintaining the department’s global remuneration model. This position is open to experienced EL1s or high-performing APS6s ready to step up.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting annual reviews of salary and non-salary benefits across 100+ overseas missions
Applying actuarial data and market intelligence to determine salary adjustments
Maintaining and enhancing the Excel-based remuneration analysis model, including PowerQuery
Ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and centralisation for strategic decision-making
Leading procurement and integration of market data from external suppliers
Managing the annual data survey process across all overseas missions
Providing high-level strategic advice and quality assurance
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including Heads of Mission and Senior Administration Officers
Representing the department in professional engagements and resolving complex remuneration assessments
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Minimum NV1 security clearance (essential)
High-level expertise in HR, accounting, and remuneration analysis
Advanced Excel skills, including PowerQuery and model maintenance
Strong analytical capability with economic and remuneration data
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Ability to manage complex assessments and deliver strategic outcomes
