Your New Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading economic research and analysis to support evidence‑based decision making on complex pricing and policy issues.
  • Developing and applying statistical and economic modelling using large datasets to assess and improve organisation market performance.
  • Designing and implementing pricing frameworks and policies, including contributing to pricing reviews and market interventions.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, test solutions, and build shared understanding across government and industry.
  • Collaborating across teams and with experts to translate complex data into actionable insights that support sustainable market outcomes.

What You Will Need to Succeed

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, with the ability to interpret complex economic and pricing issues and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience applying quantitative methods, including data analysis and modelling, to inform policy or strategic decisions.
  • Advanced communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to a range of audiences.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, both technical and non‑technical.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently while contributing to high‑performing team outcomes.

The Logistics

  • Contract until end of December 2026.
  • Hybrid working arrangement.
  • Daily rate of $602.55 + super.
  • Flexible working location – opportunities across Australia.
  • Australian Citizenship is required.
