Hays is currently recruiting a Drafter for a civil Tier 1 company. This is a temporary Drafter job based in Canning Vale, South of the River. As a drafter, you will work within the office 38 hours per week.

This drafter job will commence ASAP.

Your new role

As a drafter, you will work within the drafting team on civil, structural and engineering projects. Using AutoCAD & Revit to assist the team with construction drawings, shop drawings and as-build documentation.

- Produce and update 2D & 3D Revit drawings as required according to requirements and mark-ups provided by the design and construction team.
- Ability to interpret structural, civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Produce as-built documentation based on redlines provided by the construction team and subcontractors.
- Produce supporting project documents as required.
- Organise and maintain document revisions, folder systems, i.e. SharePoint.
- Liaise with internal teams, clients and subcontractors – contractors for document submissions, technical queries and project progress.

What you'll need to succeed

Mandatory:
- Proficiency in drafting software: AutoCAD & Revit
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Technical drafting background.
- Proven experience as a Drafter in Construction (3+ years)
- Civil, Structural, or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience producing construction drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.

Preferred:
- Advanced Diploma or Bachelor-level studies in Drafting, Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of Australian Standards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
