Document Controller

12-month temporary Document Controller job, paying up to $50p/h in the South West

Hays are currently Working with a well-established resources company who are seeking a skilled and adaptable Document Controller, due to increase in workload for their major projects team.

This is a 12 month temporary role, based in the South West of WA, paying up to $50p/h, depending on experience.

Your new role

You play a crucial role in performing document control functions, within a busy major projects team. Your day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to:

Your key responsibilities

  • Maintain and track controlled documents across the project lifecycle.
  • Manage internal and external information flow, including confidential records.
  • Guide project teams on records management and compliance.
  • Oversee filing systems and prepare documents for archiving.
  • Use TeamBinder for document control processes (registration, review, transmittals, etc.).
  • Coordinate document numbering and revisions with vendors.
  • Ensure traceability and consistency across large-scale projects.
  • Expedite approvals and manage document workflows.
  • Return documentation to SmartPlant (EDM) post-project.
  • Prepare monthly project reports and presentations for senior leadership.

What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience in a similar role and your strong attention to detail will lead you to your success, as will;

  • Ability to plan your work and prioritise tasks in order of urgency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and document management systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take initiative
  • Qualifications in records management, information technology, information management or the equivalent will be advantageous
