Your new role
The Digital and Technology Services Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end delivery of digital and technology projects, from early definition through to implementation and closure. The role leads Council staff, vendors and consultants to deliver agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality outcomes, and establishes fit-for-purpose governance, reporting and controls. A core expectation of the role is to also plan and deliver change management and communications activities that support adoption and realisation of benefits.
What you'll need to succeed
- 5+ years’ project management experience delivering digital and technology initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience leading change management and communications for technology rollouts
- Strong governance orientation, with discipline in maintaining core project artefacts and accountability for actions/decisions.
- Budget and vendor management capability, including planning, forecasting and tracking.
- High level of technical aptitude, with the ability to use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support project management and change management delivery (e.g., drafting, summarising, analysis and planning).
- Local government and/or public sector delivery experience.
- Experience across domains such as M365/digital enablement, data and information governance, cyber, web and digital customer channels, DevOps, and platform renewal/replacement.
