Diesel Fitter
Looking for a Diesel Fitter to commence ASAP in their Mackay workshop!
Your new company
Our client is a leading provider of critical equipment and labour hire services for the underground coal mining sector in Australia. With over three decades of expertise, they support essential mining activities by offering a wide range of specialised equipment and maintenance services. They are currently looking for a Diesel Fitter to join their team in a workshop-based position.
Your new role
- Conduct repairs on underground heavy vehicles and mobile equipment
- Identify and fix maintenance problems
- Promote a proactive maintenance approach and suggest possible enhancements
- Ensure adherence to AS/NZS 3584 standards
- Adhering to workplace health and safety protocols
What you'll need to succeed
- Trade Qualified – Diesel Fitter
- Previous experience working on underground equipment
- Driver’s licence or reliable transport
- Contactable references
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- Ability to complete a police check
- Living locally in the Mackay region
What you'll get in return
If successful, you will work in a town-based position with our renowned client. You will do 4 days per week, working from 6am – 5pm. Hourly rates on offer are very attractive, with the potential to go full-time if all goes well. You must be living locally in the Mackay region and have previous experience working on underground equipment.
