Your new role
As a Diesel Fitter, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing a large, modern mining fleet to ensure safe and efficient operations on site.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out maintenance and repairs on CAT dozers, graders, and trucks, as well as Liebherr diggers
Performing diagnostics and troubleshooting on heavy mining equipment
Ensuring all work is completed in line with safety, compliance, and site standards
Working a 7/7 rotating day/night roster with 12.5 hour shifts
Supplying your own hand tools (all major tooling provided on site)
What you'll need to succeed
Diesel Fitter trade qualification
Previous experience working on large mining fleets (CAT & Liebherr preferred)
Current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Ability to work efficiently in a site‑based mining environment
Your own set of hand tools
What you'll get in return
In return, you’ll receive a competitive flat hourly rate between $73 and $76, based on experience, along with the benefit of a 7/7 day and night roster that offers excellent work‑life balance. DIDO or BIBO options are available from Mackay, Rockhampton, and Bundaberg, with camp accommodation and meals provided on site. You’ll be paid on a fortnightly cycle and gain valuable experience working on a major mining project within a supportive and professional team environment — making this an excellent opportunity to further your mining career.
