DIDO Talent Acquisition Specialist

A Strategic Talent Acquisition Specialist is required for mining house on DIDO 9 Day Fortnight.
Are you an experienced Talent Acquisition leader passionate about building high‑performing teams and delivering exceptional candidate experiences? This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of the recruitment strategy, lead an established, capable team, and shape the future workforce for a growing organisation within the mining sector.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a pivotal role in leading the full recruitment and onboarding cycle while driving innovative attraction and sourcing strategies. You will strengthen recruitment capability, foster consistent and values‑aligned hiring practices, and contribute to the long‑term workforce planning and organisational growth.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing, small site-based recruitment team
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and deliver expert guidance
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from job brief to contract
  • Drive proactive sourcing, employer branding and attraction initiatives
  • Strengthen systems, tools and processes to enhance the candidate and hiring leader experience
  • Oversee and continuously improve the onboarding program
  • Support diversity, equity and inclusion goals across the organisation
  • Manage relationships with external recruitment partners and search firms
  • Deliver insights, recruitment metrics and market trends
  • Support recruitment governance through improved documentation and standardised processes
  • Collaborate closely across the People & Culture function to deliver seamless service

To be successful in your application, you will hold a tertiary qualification within human resources or a related discipline, coupled with a consolidated work history within a strategic talent acquisition role. You will demonstrate a proven background in coaching and developing teams, partner with senior stakeholders to influence decisions and have prior knowledge of designing and developing strategies for high-volume recruitment and assessment centres, as well as search and selection for hard-to-fill and senior level roles from within the mining or a related sector.

This team is site-based, and as such, the position will be a DIDO position on a 9-day fortnight. It is therefore essential that you hold a full driving license and enjoy site-based living.
