Your new role
As a Diary and Correspondence Officer supporting the Office of the Mayor, you will:
Provide high level, confidential executive and administrative support in a politically sensitive environment
Support the daily operations of the Mayor’s office, working closely with the Executive Assistant
Manage Mayoral correspondence, diary management, invitations and records using corporate information systems
Coordinate internal meetings with Councillors, the Executive Leadership Team and departmental representatives
Assist with the coordination and preparation of internal and external meetings and events
Liaise with internal teams, government agencies, community members and external stakeholders
Manage information requests, correspondence and follow-up actions to ensure timely outcomes
Process expense reimbursements and manage office supplies
What you'll need to succeed
Substantial administrative experience in a large, complex organisation (local government experience highly regarded)
Proven experience providing confidential executive support, including diary and correspondence management
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
Sound understanding of governance environments
Demonstrated commitment to customer service and maintaining a professional public image
