- Implementing and maintaining Infrastructure‑as‑Code to support repeatable and scalable environments
- Contributing to platform reliability through monitoring, alerting and proactive performance management
- Applying security‑by‑design principles across systems, pipelines and environments
- Supporting modern application architectures, including containerised and API‑driven services
- Working closely with architects, engineers, operations teams and stakeholders to deliver outcomes
What you'll need to succeed
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a DevOps, platform engineering or automation‑focused role
- Exposure to cloud and/or hybrid environments
- Scripting experience (e.g. Python or similar) for automation and tooling
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Infrastructure‑as‑Code concepts and tooling
- Baseline security clearance
- Experience in enterprise or government ICT environments
- Exposure to monitoring, observability or operational tooling
- Understanding of secure systems and noncompliance’s delivery
- Experience working within Agile or scaled delivery frameworks
What you'll get in return
You’ll be part of a long‑term, stable Federal Government program delivering services at national scale, with the opportunity to apply modern engineering practices in a complex environment.
In return, you’ll receive:
- A long‑term contract engagement commencing July 2026
- Flexible on‑site location options across Canberra, Brisbane or Melbourne
- Exposure to large‑scale, enterprise technology platforms
- Opportunities to broaden your experience across automation, platform engineering and DevOps
