Your new company

We’re looking for an ambitious early-career professional to join Lanser in a new part-time Development Officer role. As the Development Officer, your role will be to evaluate encumbrance submissions from various customers and answer design queries, to ensure that new house designs are compliant with Lanser’s Urban Design Guidelines. Where design deviations are identified, you will provide feedback to builders on design modification to ensure compliance.

Your new role

• Evaluate home design submissions and queries against Lanser’s Urban Design Guidelines.
• Provide feedback on design modifications to ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Assess deviations from guidelines based on architectural merits.
• Review and update guidelines to reflect current design trends.
• Monitor and enforce encumbrances across projects.
• Issue breach notices for non-compliance and resolve issues with builders or customers.
• Maintain and update internal documentation and reports on encumbrances.
• Respond to customer or builder queries and coordinate with internal/external teams.
• Collaborate with project teams and build relationships with external stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry practices, policies, and legislation.

What you'll need to succeed

No prior work experience is required for this role; however, proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to perform tasks efficiently are essential. Applicants should be willing to learn and demonstrate the skills and competencies necessary to carry out the key responsibilities and duties of the role. Applicants must hold a valid SA Drivers Licence and own car.
