Your new role
As a Data Engineer, you will support the delivery of the organisation’s data and AI roadmap by building high-quality data pipelines, platforms and reusable data products.
You will be responsible for developing ETL/ELT and MLOps pipelines, transforming foundational data into business-ready datasets and supporting the creation of a single source of truth across the organisation.
You will work closely with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Data Scientists, Analysts, Governance, Cloud, DevOps, Architecture and wider business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions. The role will also involve troubleshooting pipeline issues, supporting BAU data products, contributing to platform optimisation and working within agile delivery practices.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in data engineering, ideally within a large or complex organisation
- Strong SQL skills
- Exposure to data transformation tools such as dbt
- Experience building or supporting ETL/ELT data pipelines
- Understanding of modern data platforms and reusable data product development
- Exposure to AI/ML platforms, MLOps or AI-enabled data solutions would be advantageous
- Exposure to software engineering practices would also be beneficial
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A problem-solving mindset, natural curiosity and confidence working through ambiguity
- A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to contribute to a growing data and AI capability
