A newly created contract opportunity has opened for a Microsoft D365 Solution Architect / Tech Lead to play a key role in a major technology uplift program. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver scalable, secure, and fit-for-purpose technology solutions that drive real business outcomes.

As the D365 Solution Architect / Tech Lead, you’ll be responsible for leading the design and implementation of enterprise-grade solutions using Microsoft cloud technologies, including Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure, and Microsoft 365. You’ll guide delivery teams, shape technical strategy, and ensure alignment with business goals and architectural standards.

• Lead the architecture and delivery of cloud-native applications using Microsoft D365 technologies.
• Establish and guide a high-performing development team delivering CRM and Case Management solutions.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, product owners, and analysts to co-design scalable solutions.
• Drive migration from legacy systems to modern cloud environments.
• Ensure data migration accuracy and alignment with target systems.
• Promote best practices in cloud adoption, DevOps, automation, and security.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across teams.
• Translate complex technical concepts into actionable guidance for stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

• Deep expertise in Microsoft D365, Power Platform, and Azure.
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade solutions.
• Strong leadership in guiding D365 delivery teams and leveraging out-of-the-box capabilities.
• Solid understanding of integration, security, scalability, and sustainability.
• Ability to evaluate and recommend cloud services aligned with business needs.
• Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Experience in large-scale digital transformation or technology uplift programs.
• Microsoft certifications in D365 technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.
• Experience in Federal Government environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Security Clearance Requirements: Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold a minimum of Baseline security clearance (AGSVA). Candidates without the required clearance will not be considered.
• Location: Applicants must be based in either Canberra (ACT) or Sydney (NSW) and able to work from the local office a couple of days each week, as the role involves regular collaboration and team interaction
