Cyber Business Analyst

Large & complex organisation is undertaking a major, enterprise-wide Cyber Resilience and Recovery Program!

Your new company
A large, complex Australian organisation is undertaking a major, enterprise-wide Cyber Resilience and Recovery Program. This program sits within an established Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), ensuring strong governance, reporting discipline, and regulatory assurance across all cyber uplift initiatives.

Your new role
As a Cyber Business Analyst, you will play a hands-on, delivery-focused role across a large cyber remediation program spanning multiple workstreams. This is not a purely strategic or advisory BA role — it requires a pragmatic blend of analysis and execution, working directly with cyber engineers, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
You will support delivery across four key cyber streams:
Network Segmentation
Identity & Access Management
Data Remediation
Cyber Hardening

Key responsibilities include:
Translating cyber, regulatory, and technical requirements into clear, actionable delivery artefacts
Producing and maintaining requirements, implementation plans, dependency maps, risks/issues, and reporting
Actively tracking delivery progress, resolving blockers, and driving initiatives through to completion
Working closely with cyber specialists on platforms such as Illumio, Okta, Azure, and SIEM/MDR solutions
Supporting executive reporting, governance forums, and regulatory assurance activities
Operating effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, tight controls, and high visibility

What you’ll need to succeed
Proven experience delivering hands-on cyber or complex technology programs
Strong balance of execution (“doing”) and analytical/planning capability
Solid technical literacy across:
Illumio or network segmentation tools
Identity and Access Management (e.g. Okta)
Azure environments
SIEM and/or Managed Detection & Response platforms
Ability to confidently engage engineers, vendors, and senior non-technical stakeholders
Excellent communication skills, with experience producing executive-ready documentation
Comfortable working onsite at least three days per week
Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT, Cyber Security, Business, or similar
Cyber security and/or project delivery certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, Security+, PRINCE2, PMP, Agile) (highly regarded)

What you’ll get in return
The opportunity to contribute to one of the most significant cyber remediation programs currently underway in Australia
High-impact, enterprise-scale work with strong executive sponsorship
6-month contract (with extension) paying a daily rate
A role well suited to professionals who thrive on complexity, urgency, and accountability
