Multiple Customer Experience Officer opportunities available on a 6‑month local government contract

Your new company

You’ll be joining a large, customer‑focused organisation that provides essential services to the community. The team is committed to delivering positive customer experiences and offers a well‑structured training program to set you up for success.

Your new role

As a Customer Experience Officer, you’ll be the first point of contact for customer enquiries, supporting a wide range of services across the organisation. You’ll complete a comprehensive 8‑week full‑time training program, where you’ll learn multiple systems and gain a strong understanding of processes before moving into a casual rostered role.
Following training, you’ll be rostered based on operational requirements, with hours ranging from 0 to 40 hours per week, scheduled between 7:30am and 6:00pm.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency with full working rights
  • Availability to attend full‑time training for 8 weeks (Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm)
  • Flexibility to work casual hours after training, based on business needs
  • A positive attitude, strong willingness to learn, and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
  • Confidence using technology and adapting quickly to new systems
  • A customer‑focused mindset with strong problem‑solving skills, curiosity, and effective questioning techniques
Desirable (but not essential):
  • Experience using Salesforce and/or Genesys
  • Previous contact centre experience
  • Local Government background
