Your new role
As a Core Yard Technician, you will play a critical role in the geological and exploration process. Working on an 8:6 roster, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of core yard activities, including:

• Operating and maintaining cut saws

• Cutting, sampling, and processing drill core

• Accurately labelling, logging, and preparing samples

• Preparing samples for dispatch to external laboratories

• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe core yard environment

• Adhering to all site safety procedures and quality standards
  
  This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in accuracy, safety, and teamwork.
  
  What you'll need to succeed
  To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience working in a core yard or similar environment (highly regarded)

• Experience operating cut saws and handling drill core

• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety

• Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

• Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role

• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently

• A current Australian work right
