We’re on the hunt for a highly capable Project Manager with a strong background in defence manufacturing to lead complex engineering and R&D projects for a confidential client. This short-term contract offers the chance to work on cutting-edge technology in a high-trust, high-impact environment.

• Managing multiple concurrent projects across engineering, R&D, and capital equipment procurement
• Leading stakeholder communications across suppliers, customers, and internal teams
• Driving project planning, cost tracking, delivery schedules, and risk mitigation
• Supporting technical and commercial aspects of product development and post-sales service
• Ensuring compliance with defence standards and internal project management processes
• Reporting on key project metrics including budget, EAC, and delivery performance

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous Experience in project management within defence or advanced manufacturing
• Engineering qualification (required) + PMP/PMBOK or equivalent certification
• Strong command of project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, etc.)
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and reporting skills
• Australian Citizenship (mandatory) and ability to obtain NV1 clearance
• ITAR compliance – must meet eligibility requirements under US export control laws
