A well-established, privately owned developer builder with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use projects is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join its growing team, at their north Sunshine Coast location. With more than 15 years of operation and a robust pipeline of work, the business is entering a new phase of growth, now is an exciting time to join them.
Your new role
Reporting to the GM of Construction, you will play a key role in the commercial and contractual management of projects typically ranging from mid-scale to large developments, including residential and retail assets.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with subcontract tendering, scope reviews, and contract negotiations.
- Supporting cost control, forecasting, progress claims, variations, and final accounts
- Managing design documentation, RFIs, drawing registers, and document control
- Administering project systems such as Procore (documentation and defects), cost-control platforms, estimating tools, and site management software
- Procuring materials, negotiating rates, and monitoring project expenditure
- Liaising closely with subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers
- Providing administrative and contractual support to the Senior PM and site teams
- Assisting the development team with planning approvals, authority coordination, and feasibility pricing for future projects.
What you'll need to succeed
This role will suit someone intermediate to senior level, ideally, with experience in commercial construction and/or unit / town house developments. Please apply if you have:
- Previous experience as a Contract Administrator within commercial or Town house construction
- A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive mindset with a desire to grow and develop within a high-performing team
- Confident communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- Experience using construction cost-control and project management systems (e.g. Jobpac, Cheops, Procore, or similar)
Only candidates based in Australia will be considered and preferably currently based (or soon to be) on the Sunshine Coast.
