A respected client-side consultancy that delivers high-quality commercial and industrial projects is seeking a Junior Project Manager or Contract Administrator to join their Hobart team. Your new role
This role will help to support the delivery of different construction projects from planning to completion on behalf of the client. It will also involve the following:
- Assist with the development and monitoring of construction programs
- Coordinate consultants, contractors and internal teams
- Support tender processes and manage project documentation
- Assist with design management and ensure project requirements are met
- Apply quality control measures across all stages of the project lifecycle
- Prepare project management plans and track project milestones
- Provide timely reports for clients and senior leadership
- Contribute to financial forecasting, resource planning and budget development
- Work with site teams to support scheduling and contracting strategies
- Assist with document management during design phases
What you'll need to succeed
This role will report to a Melbourne-based team, and requires someone who operates efficiently with high levels of autonomy as well as the following:
- Three to five years of contractor experience in Contract Administration or as a Junior Project Manager
- Experience gained in a site-based or project delivery role
- A degree in engineering, project or construction management, architecture or a related discipline
- Understanding of project management principles
- Confidence in managing consultants, contractors and stakeholders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and a collaborative approach
- Experience with commercial or industrial projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project and other construction-based programs
