Contact Centre Team Lead

Admin Team Lead, Brisbane CBD, Permanent, Full-time

Your new company

Your new company is a large, fast‑growing organisation within the health insurance sector, operating from a busy Brisbane office. The environment is fast‑paced, high‑performing and collaborative, with strong internal mobility and a culture that blends hard work, support, maturity and entrepreneurialism.

Your new role

In your new leadership role, you will guide a team of 10–12 consultants, focusing on performance uplift rather than taking customer calls. Your primary responsibility is to coach, mentor and support your team to achieve strong results across revenue, conversions and contact‑rate KPIs.

You’ll use metrics as a developmental tool, helping consultants understand their performance and improve through structured conversations. You will be involved in leadership meetings and collaborate across departments to ensure quality, consistency and ongoing improvement across the organisation.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach and mentor a team of 10–12 consultants in a fast‑paced contact centre environment.
  • Use KPIs (conversions, dollar outcomes, contact rates) to guide performance conversations.
  • Hold meaningful accountability discussions that lift capability and drive consistency.
  • Collaborate across departments to maintain high standards.
  • Participate in twice‑weekly leadership forums to support alignment and continuous improvement.

What you'll need to succeed

Success in this role requires strong people leadership, a performance‑driven mindset, and the ability to positively influence outcomes in a high‑activity environment through coaching and mentorship.

You will bring:

  • 1–2 years of Team Lead experience.
  • Experience within a KPI‑driven call/contact centre environment, ideally with exposure to conversion‑based sales.
  • The ability to clearly articulate and apply structured sales methodologies (conversation flow, discovery, conversion, uplift coaching).
  • A conversational, emotionally intelligent communication style, focused on understanding customers.
  • Confidence in having accountability conversations that drive growth and behavioural change.
  • Agility, resilience and the ability to operate “three steps ahead” in a dynamic environment.

What you'll get in return

Your new organisation is committed to rewarding hard work and fostering an environment where people can thrive both professionally and personally.

You will enjoy:

  • A competitive bonus structure

  • Regular incentives such as celebratory lunches, dinners, vouchers and company events

  • Career progression and development opportunities

  • A supportive, mature and social culture that values teamwork and entrepreneurialism
