Construction Manager – Mining Industry
Location: Peel region - (drive in, drive out daily)
Contract Duration: 3 Years
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to lead and oversee a major mining project on a contract basis for three years. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in civil works, tailings, and geomembrane, ensuring high-quality execution and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all construction activities for the mining project.
Oversee client-side project management, ensuring seamless coordination between stakeholders.
Supervise and manage subcontractors, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Implement best practices in civil engineering, particularly relating to tailings management and geomembrane installation.
Ensure compliance with local and industry-specific regulations.
Manage budgets, schedules, and project documentation efficiently.
Lead site inspections and risk assessments to uphold workplace safety and environmental standards.
Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience as a Construction Manager in the mining industry.
Expertise in civil works, tailings management, and geomembrane systems.
Strong background in client-side project management.
Demonstrated experience in subcontractor management, ensuring contract adherence and efficiency.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.
Relevant qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
