Your new role

• Managing full-cycle public road and bridge construction, including new works, upgrades, and rehabilitation
• Delivering works under Australian Government and NSW Government projects
• Overseeing construction activities such as:
  • Road widening and pavement strengthening
  • Bridge rehabilitation, piling, deck, and girder construction
  • Drainage, earthworks, and civil structures
• Developing and approving construction methodologies and method statements, including:
  • Delivery and offloading of large plant and equipment (including 500kV transformers)
  • Road and bridge diversions compliant with TfNSW and Australian Road Authority standards.
• Implementing and managing traffic management plans, including:
  • Traffic diversions, lane closures, and temporary roads
  • Coordination with traffic controllers and relevant authorities
  • Ensuring safe and continuous vehicle movement during works
• Leading site teams, subcontractors, and interfaces with engineering, survey, and commissioning teams

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience delivering road and bridge construction and upgrade projects
• Experience across:
  • Pavement works and strengthening
  • Bridge piling, decks, girders, and rehabilitation
• Strong understanding of construction delivery within live traffic environments
• Demonstrated capability managing civil and structural construction scopes, including:
  • Earthworks and pavements
  • Foundations and structural steel
  • Drainage systems and associated infrastructure
• Ability to review and interpret road and bridge design drawings to ensure compliance with:
  • TfNSW specifications
  • Australian Road Authority and Australian Standards
• Experience understanding, reviewing, and managing survey works undertaken by project surveyors
