Hays Specialist Recruitment is thrilled to invite applications from experienced Concreters to join the City of Gold Coast Council’s Infrastructure Delivery division. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with Australia’s second-largest local government and one of the city’s most prominent organisations. Your new role

As a valued member of the Civil Construction crews, you’ll work on a variety of exciting projects, including:

  • Building footbridges, roundabouts, kerbs, bus bays, and ramps
  • Creating bike paths and new walkways across the stunning Gold Coast
Your responsibilities will encompass setting up, boxing, screeding, and finishing concrete. Finishing experience is essential. Additionally, you’ll:

  • Assist with site clean-up
  • Performing heavy lifting of bollards and other materials
  • Engage in digging, shovelling, raking, trowelling, and pouring concrete
  • Patch and repair cracked footpaths


What you will need to succeed

We’re looking for candidates with a robust concreting background who are ready for an immediate start. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A White Construction Card
  • Proven concreting experience
  • A C Class Licence (MR highly desired)
  • An up-to-date CV detailing relevant experience
  • Two references from your most recent employers
