Our Federal client is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Cloud Infrastructure Specialist/ Engineer to lead the development, security, and optimisation of our cloud-based infrastructure. Your new role

As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist/ Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the performance, resilience, and compliance of our cloud environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365, Intune, and Azure. You will work independently and strategically, providing expert advice on cloud architecture and driving initiatives that enhance security, stability, and simplicity.

  • Architecting and maintaining secure, scalable cloud solutions across M365, Intune, and Azure.
  • Monitoring and optimising cloud environments for performance, availability, and compliance.
  • Implementing robust security measures aligned with government frameworks.
  • Providing Level 2 and 3 support, solving complex infrastructure issues.
  • Shaping our cloud architecture roadmap with strategic insights.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and vendors to deliver outcomes.
  • Staying ahead of the curve with emerging cloud technologies.
  • Sharing knowledge and uplifting capability across the organisation.

Technical Environment

  • Platforms: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, Purview
  • Focus Areas: Cloud networking, connectivity, security, automation, and monitoring


What you'll need to succeed

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365, Intune, and Azure.
  • Experience implementing security measures and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to provide architectural guidance and strategic recommendations.
  • Experience providing Level 2 and 3 support and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security.
  • Experience with automation tools and monitoring systems.
  • Location & Eligibility: This role is open to candidates based in Canberra, ACT only.
  • Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold a minimum NV1 security clearance. Candidates without the required clearance will not be considered.
