Your new role
- Act as the first point of contact, managing intake, triage, and initial client assessments
- Provide crisis response, including risk assessment, safety planning, and immediate support
- Coordinate referrals and connect clients with appropriate services
- Deliver short-term case coordination and brief counselling support
- Support clients through service pathways, ensuring timely and appropriate responses
- Build relationships with internal teams and external service providers
- Provide court support and advocacy on a rostered basis
- Maintain accurate client records and complete administrative requirements
- Participate in supervision, team meetings, and continuous improvement activities
- Work collaboratively within the team to deliver high-quality client care
What you'll need to succeed
- Relevant qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or Counselling (with registration or eligibility)
- Experience working with women and/or children impacted by domestic and family violence or sexual violence
- Strong understanding of crisis intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including DFV frameworks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage sensitive and complex situations
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Current driver’s licence, Blue Card, and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work effectively with diverse communities in a culturally sensitive way
