Civil labourer and truck driver council worker:
A local council in the inner west Sydney area is looking for a civil labourer with a truck licence to join their team.

This role plays a key part in maintaining and improving our local roads, footpaths, parks, street furniture replacement, drainage work, and metal fabrication, contributing to a safe and vibrant community.

This is a perfect opportunity to get your foot in the door with a local government organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Road maintenance, specifically driving trucks to and from the work site, maintaining drainage structures.
  • repairing failed road pavements/ footpaths, operating minor plant, using hand power and air tools.
  • Assist with site preparation, clean-up, and traffic control as required.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS regulations and council policies.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to deliver high-quality outcomes.
To be eligible for this role, you must have the following:
  • HR/MR Truck licence (mandatory)
  • Traffic control (mandatory)
  • WHS Industry Certificate (White Card) (mandatory)
  • Previous experience in civil construction or labouring preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
