Seeking Civil Labourers and Operators for exciting projects in Cairns!

Your new company

Hays Cairns have partnered with a renowned civil construction company and are currently seeking experienced Civil Labourers & Operators to join their successful and motivated team in Cairns and surrounding areas.

Your new role

Join a dynamic team, where you’ll be working on exciting civil projects in Cairns and surrounds. You will be able to lead by example and follow all safety directions, and ensure all tasks are performed safely. In this role you will be responsible for the below tasks:
  • Undertake labouring and other related tasks when required e.g pipelaying, concreting
  • Operate machinery and perform manual handling tasks to complete all civil works
  • Take verbal instruction from supervisors.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have a strong background working across the civil industry. Your skills operating various plant machinery, self-sufficiency, adaptability to work in North Queensland weather conditions, and strong work ethic will lead to your success in this role.

Skills and Qualifications required for this role:
  • Construction Induction White Card
  • Own Transport
  • Concreting/Pipelaying experience
  • MR Drivers Licence or above is highly regarded but not essential
  • RII tickets such as Roller, Excavator etc.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Own PPE required (Steel Caps)
