Work for a multidisciplinary professional services company, operating in various regional and metropolitan centres across NSW. You will be joining a team of over 80 dedicated professionals, working to ISO accredited standards across a broad range of projects.

Your new role

• Stay updated with engineering standards and codes.
• Have a good understanding of design across multiple sub-specialisms
• Make decisions based on guidelines, adapting to various situations.
• Provide engineering solutions that maintain design intent and buildability.
• Design structures to comply with Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia.
• Analyse steel and timber structures for static and dynamic loads.
• Review drawings and specifications to estimate costs and prepare detailed cost plans.
• Monitor design changes, assess cost impacts, and negotiate variations.
• Determine construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
• Manage multiple steel design and construction projects, reporting to the project manager.
• Conduct site investigations to resolve design issues.
• Attend design and site meetings as a company representative

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum two years of experience in Civil Design in Australia for areas including roads, subdivisions, stormwater, and sewer & water reticulation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD and/or Revit, and preferably MUSIC modelling.
• Ability to follow and manage standard operating procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong commitment to safety guidelines and programs.
• Creative thinking and initiative.
• Teamwork skills
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence and White Card.
• Willingness to travel for project work.
