Your new company
Allambie Heights Village Limited is a respected not-for-profit organisation providing retirement living, affordable seniors accommodation and residential aged care to approximately 200 residents on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
Established in 1966, AHV has a proud history, strong community standing and a genuine commitment to providing quality care, accommodation and connection for older Australians. Following the planned departure of its long-serving CEO after 20 years, the Board is seeking an accomplished and values-led Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through its next stage of maturity.
This is not a turnaround role. AHV is financially sound, well regarded and strongly connected to its local community. The next CEO will build on this platform while strengthening organisational capability, navigating sector reform and representing AHV with confidence across residents, families, staff, government, regulators and community stakeholders.
Your new role
Reporting to the Board, the CEO will be responsible for strategic leadership, governance, financial sustainability, stakeholder engagement, resident outcomes and organisational performance. A key early priority will be building trusted relationships across the Board, leadership team, residents, families and staff, while maintaining continuity and momentum through an important leadership transition.
The CEO will also play a key external leadership role, representing AHV with professionalism and discretion on matters affecting long-term sustainability, community purpose and future strategic positioning. This will suit a leader with sound judgement, advocacy capability, commercial discipline and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments respectfully and credibly.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will bring senior executive experience from aged care, retirement living, health, community services, housing, disability, social infrastructure or another comparable regulated environment. Experience leading significant capital works, property development or contemporary commercial building projects will be highly regarded.
You will bring strong governance instincts, financial acumen, stakeholder credibility and a genuine commitment to quality care and accommodation for older Australians. Just as importantly, you will be a warm, visible and values-led leader who can respect AHV’s history while leading appropriate modernisation for the future.
This is a rare opportunity to lead a trusted, community-based organisation with a strong legacy, engaged Board and meaningful purpose.
