Your new role
  • Deliver actions from the Catchment and Waterways Strategic Plan.
  • Manage consultants, contractors, and project budgets.
  • Coordinate Floodplain Risk Management Studies and Plans.
  • Develop Stormwater, Waterways, and Coastal Management Programs.
  • Provide strategic advice on planning instruments and development contributions.
  • Liaise with government bodies for funding.
  • Promote Water Sensitive Urban Design principles.
  • Collaborate with catchment committees and councils.
  • Undertake environmental planning functions and special projects.

What you will need
  • Tertiary qualifications in civil/environmental engineering, natural resource management, environmental science, or planning.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in floodplain management or environmental engineering.
  • Stormwater asset maintenance
  • Water-Sensitive Urban Design
  • NSW Flood Risk Management
  • Strategic/land use planning
  • Tendering and contract management
  • Budgeting and grant applications
  • Project management
  • C Class Driver's Licence
  • Criminal reference check

Desirable Experience
  • Local Government experience
  • Understanding of Coastal Management Programs
  • Adherence to Code of Conduct, WHS policies, and Records Management guidelines
