A reputable construction firm is seeking an experienced carpenter for a specialised commercial project in Sydney’s Inner West. This is a hands-on role requiring precision and reliability in a controlled site environment.

Overview: The scope of work involves constructing a roof opening to install a roof hatch, enabling equipment removal from the building. Specific tasks include:

  • Framing the roof opening
  • Removing the existing ceiling
  • Constructing the new ceiling frame
  • Sheeting and finishing the void area
  • All work is conducted within ceiling space or from a scaffold deck.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial carpentry
  • Strong understanding of ceiling and roof framing systems
  • Comfortable working in confined ceiling spaces and on scaffold platforms
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • White Card and relevant trade qualifications
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
