An established mutual bank within the financial services sector, supporting its members across a broad range of banking and payments services. To support its payments function, the bank is seeking an experienced Card Disputes Analyst for a three‑month contract, managing card disputes and chargebacks to deliver accurate, timely outcomes for members.

Your new role

  • Manage card disputes and chargebacks from enquiry to resolution
  • Act as the primary contact for members on card disputes and chargeback matters
  • Investigate disputes by reviewing transactions and supporting documentation
  • Process chargebacks, including scheme interaction via a third‑party provider
  • Make sound decisions independently within established frameworks
  • Liaise with internal teams such as Fraud, Payments and branch staff
  • Follow procedures and identify opportunities to improve efficiency

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in card disputes, chargebacks, fraud operations or a related payments function
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • A detail‑focused, process‑driven approach
  • Experience within a mutual bank or smaller financial institution (preferred)
  • Availability to commence immediately or at short notice
