Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Project Manager to lead the delivery of operating model initiatives across the agency. This role partners with diverse stakeholder groups and leads a high-performing team to deliver sustainable business outcomes in a complex matrix management environment.

Your new role

• Lead end-to-end delivery of organisational design and operating model projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Drive delivery across the enabling stakeholder groups to support the stand-up of organisational designs.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Manage resources, budgets, and risks to ensure successful project execution.
• Drive continuous improvement and embed sustainable change across business units.
• Report on project progress, outcomes, and performance metrics to senior leadership.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in project management, ideally within government or large-scale organisations.
• Strong understanding of organisational design principles and operating model change.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering multiple projects in short periods of time in a complex environment.
• Experience matrix managing a project team drawn from subject-matter experts and including communication and change management resources
• Demonstrated ability to build trust, influence and communicate effectively at an operational level.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Relevant qualifications in project management
• Experience working with NSW Government and Unions is highly desirable
