Your new role
Problem-Solving:
• Lead problem-solving sessions as an improvement practitioner – working closely with bespoke teams to support any process improvement requirements as they arise.
• Use structured problem-solving techniques to clearly define the problem, reach agreement on the success criteria with the initiative sponsor, scoping of improvement initiative, sign-off from the initiative sponsor and manage the implementation plan.
• Identifying and quantifying benefits of improvement initiatives (before vs after)
• Defining and sourcing relevant data to enable ongoing measurement and reporting on progress towards benefits realisation.
• Ensure delivery of both soft savings and quantifiable savings (KPI impact, financial impact)
• Independently facilitate improvement workshops
• Delivering status updates and initiative completion reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Identify inefficient or ineffective processes across the business and support others in doing so
Imparting Business Improvement knowledge:
• Work closely with improvement initiative participants to impart business improvement skills through practical problem-solving.
• Have the capability to facilitate training sessions with BU teams when required.
• Facilitate the ‘learning by doing’ approach through process reviews to ensure stakeholders involved understand and can apply a process improvement approach.
• Build a safe and open team environment where robust feedback is considered as an opportunity.
• Self-learning through various online forums and videos is a mandatory requirement of this role.
Process Focus:
• Ability to undertake end-to-end process discovery.
• Process workshopping and analysis with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to articulate the current state and collaboratively identify opportunities for designing an improved future state.
Collaborative Working
• Project Governance – creating, maintaining, updating, and communicating project plans, driving cross-functional project teams, and tracking each project through to completion. You will also maintain project status reports and proactively highlight any issues and risks that may derail the project.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business improvement, process optimisation / process mapping, or a related field. Experience in creating a BPM operating model and setting up a business process management office.
Delivery Skills: Ability to conduct business process training and conduct current state workshops. Can assist with current state process mapping and undertake process level workshops.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should
Project Management: Experience in managing projects and leading change initiatives.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing business environments and priorities.
Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Education and Certifications: A degree in Business, Technology, or a related field is preferred.
