Your new role

As a key member of the IT team, you will be responsible for complex system analysis, problem resolution, user support, and maintenance, along with the development and enhancement of Council’s corporate applications. Your primary duties will include:

  • Investigating and identifying the root cause of technical issues related to corporate applications.

  • Diagnosing and resolving technical problems, providing level 2 support, and escalating issues to the ICT customer experience team as needed.

  • Overseeing corporate application accounts, users, and permissions to ensure secure and appropriate access.

  • Providing high-level technical support for all software applications used within the organization.

  • Delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, with a focus on continuous improvement and enhancing the customer experience.

  • Managing the planning and prioritizing of service desk tickets, problems, and changes to minimize backlog and ensure operational efficiency.

  • Monitoring system performance to ensure optimal functionality of all software applications.

  • Collaborating with other subject matter experts on a range of applications deployed on the Standard Operating Environment (SOE).

  • Working closely with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration and functionality of all software applications.

  • Documenting technical issues and solutions, and reporting on system performance and usage.

  • Staying up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in technology, including new software and hardware.

  • Performing additional duties as required within the limits of your skills, competence, and training.

  • Proven experience in system analysis, problem resolution, and user support.

  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of corporate applications.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

  • A proactive approach to staying current with industry developments and technological advancements.
