A well‑known, market‑leading organisation with a strong consumer footprint is seeking a Senior Business Analyst – FP&A to join a high‑performing finance team. The role is based at a Sydney head office location and partners closely with senior finance leaders and commercial stakeholders to support business performance, planning and decision‑making.
Your new role
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, reforecasting and monthly performance reporting across the full P&L
- Prepare, consolidate and analyse financial results for weekly dashboards, monthly close and annual planning cycles
- Develop clear, insightful management and board‑level reporting packs with value‑added commentary
- Drive forward‑looking financial planning by integrating sales and operational plans into forecasts and budgets
- Document assumptions, key drivers and financial impacts to support transparency and decision‑making
- Act as the finance lead on systems, reporting and process enhancements, including the use of advanced analytics and automation tools
- Deliver timely and accurate performance analysis across financial and non‑financial metrics on daily, weekly, monthly and annual cycles
- Provide finance leadership on business initiatives and cross‑functional projects
- Support commercial teams with rebate and allowance analysis and reporting
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity through robust review, validation and challenge
What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary qualifications in finance or accounting
- Minimum five years’ experience in a commercial finance or FP&A role
- Strong background in management and board‑level reporting within a fast‑paced environment
- Advanced Excel capability and strong Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with ERP and reporting tools such as Dynamics 365 and Power BI highly regarded
- Proven ability to analyse complex data sets from multiple sources and translate insights for senior stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with the ability to operate effectively in a cross‑functional environment
- Proactive, analytical and solutions‑focused mindset with a strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and process optimisation
