Your new role

As a Business Analyst, you will support the delivery of a data contextualisation work stream and a closely linked AI governance work stream within a broader program of work.

This is a hands‑on role where you will work directly with maintenance and engineering subject-matter experts to document data concepts, entities and relationships across multiple platforms. You will translate operational knowledge into clear data definitions, data quality rules and semantic documentation that can be reused consistently.

You will also support the definition of pragmatic data and AI governance practices through stakeholder engagement, helping balance innovation with appropriate guardrails. Working closely with a PMO lead, you will identify and document risks, dependencies and delivery considerations across interconnected initiatives.

A key part of the role will be defining business outcomes and value propositions for AI use cases, as well as maintaining a structured register of tools and platforms within the maintenance ecosystem that can be consumed by AI-enabled solutions.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex, large-scale environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including facilitation of workshops with senior SMEs
  • Experience documenting data concepts, business rules and process or system dependencies
  • Ability to translate technical or operational detail into clear, practical documentation
  • Exposure to data quality, data governance, analytics or AI‑adjacent initiatives
  • Confidence working with ambiguity and shaping structure where it does not yet exist
  • A proactive, self‑driven approach with strong communication and influencing skills
*Mining experience is highly regarded
