Your new company
You will join a leading University environment undertaking a critical Pay Integrity Project aimed at strengthening payroll accuracy, compliance, governance and assurance across key people and pay processes. This initiative focuses on addressing risks and control gaps through redesigned business processes, improved system controls and the implementation of digital solutions. A major component includes delivering Power Platform–based applications, integrations, reporting and security enhancements, working closely with HR, Digital Enabling Services (DES) and an external delivery partner.
Your New Role
As a Project Business Analyst, you will lead structured stakeholder engagement across HR, Payroll, Finance, Governance and technical teams to gather, analyse and document requirements related to pay integrity and compliance. Acting as the key liaison between business stakeholders, DES teams and vendors, you will translate business needs into clear, testable functional and non-functional requirements.
You will produce high-quality artefacts including user stories, acceptance criteria, process models, and data and security specifications. The role also involves supporting solution design, validating outputs with architects and developers, and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards. Additionally, you will contribute to testing (system, integration and UAT), support defect resolution, assist with go-live readiness and provide ongoing analysis through early delivery phases to ensure successful adoption.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To be successful, you will bring proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering complex digital solutions within HR, payroll, finance or regulated environments. You will demonstrate strong capabilities in requirements elicitation, documentation and traceability, alongside experience working with low-code platforms such as Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI from a BA perspective.
You will have a solid understanding of process modelling and data analysis, as well as experience supporting security, access control, privacy and audit requirements. Strong stakeholder engagement skills are essential, with the ability to bridge business, technical and vendor teams effectively. High-level analytical thinking, problem-solving ability and excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical, along with experience using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
What You’ll Get in Return
You will have the opportunity to contribute to a high-impact, enterprise-wide program that improves compliance and operational integrity within a complex organisation. You’ll work in a collaborative environment alongside business, technical and vendor teams, gaining exposure to modern Power Platform solutions and governance-focused delivery.
The role offers hybrid working arrangements (2–3 days in office), a supportive team environment, and involvement in a project with meaningful organisational outcomes. You will also play a key role from delivery through to go-live and early operations, ensuring your work directly contributes to sustainable business improvements.
