recruiting Building Surveyors for a vacancy based in a Perth Western Suburbs
Local Government. This is a permanent full-time position.
Your new role
The Building Surveyor
is responsible for supporting all building control duties under the general
direction of the Manager and Coordinator. Your primary responsibilities will
be:
- Assisting in the assessment and
processing of building applications, ensuring compliance with all relevant
Building Legislation and Regulations
- Conducting site inspections to
assess compliance with the National Construction Code for building approvals
- Supporting with inspections of
swimming pool barriers as required
- Ensuring the maintenance of
accurate building records and information systems
- Assisting with the
implementation of Quality Assurance Principles including identifying
improvements
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in
this role you will need:
- Demonstrated experience in
building inspections and compliance
- Comprehensive knowledge of
building requirements and statutory requirements as per Building Act,
Building Regulations, National Construction Code, and relevant local laws
and policies
- Current C Class Driver's
License
- Current National Police
Certificate
- Construction Induction White
Card
- Advanced Diploma qualification
in Building Surveying, or an equivalent qualification as determined by the
Building Services Board
- Certificate of Registration
from the Department of Energy. Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety as a
Level 2 Building Surveying Practitioner or Level 3 Technician
