Their Gold Coast team supports a wide range of construction projects—from homes and apartments to industrial, educational, healthcare, and public buildings, through to specialised local divisions tailored to each development type.
Your new role
In this role you will play a vital role in ensuring residential building projects across Queensland meet all safety, compliance, and regulatory standards. This includes assessing development and building approval applications, conducting thorough inspections, reviewing plans, and staying current with building codes and planning regulations. The role requires close collaboration with clients, contractors, architects, and local authorities to ensure smooth project delivery and uphold the clients commitment to quality and safety. Key responsibilities include timely assessment of approval applications, detailed inspections, and preparation of documentation such as inspection reports and occupancy certificates. The certifier must maintain effective communication with stakeholders, stay updated on legislative changes, and support the Northern NSW region when needed. Continuous professional development and compliance with licencing requirements are essential to maintaining high standards in domestic building surveying.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in domestic building surveying within Queensland, with a strong grasp of local regulations and construction practices. They should be detail-oriented, communicative, and capable of working both independently and within a team. A proactive attitude towards learning and professional development is essential, along with the necessary qualifications and a customer-focused mindset. You will have demonstrated experience in domestic building surveying, including permit assessments and inspections in Queensland.
- Registered or eligible for registration with the QBCC (ideally as a Building Certifier)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of managing documentation efficiently
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment

- Organised, with strong time management skills and a professional, confident approach
