A well‑established, privately owned business is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to take ownership of day‑to‑day finance operations. This is an on‑site, standalone role within a supportive and stable team environment.

Your New Role

Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the business. This role requires a self‑sufficient bookkeeping professional who can manage transactional finance, payroll, and compliance with confidence.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping and financial transactions
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and supplier statements
  • Prepare and process payroll and superannuation for approximately 50 employees using MYOB
  • Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS)
  • Maintain the general ledger and accurate financial records
  • Monitor cash flow and investigate discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with GST, ATO, and legislative requirements
What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a high‑volume bookkeeping role
  • MYOB proficiency is essential, including payroll processing
  • Strong understanding of Australian taxation, GST, and BAS obligations
  • Experience in the construction or building industry is highly preferred
  • Experience with Simpro (desirable)
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and handle confidential information
