About the role:Our client services a number of product segments including mining, earthmoving, mobile and crawler cranes, maritime cranes, tower cranes and components. They are seeking skilled Boilermakers/welders to join their maintenance team, responsible for repairing and maintaining equipment related to mining operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to minimise equipment downtime;
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders accurately;
- Operate cutting, grinding, and welding equipment safely and effectively;
- Conduct structural inspections and report defects or hazards;
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to prioritise tasks;
- Maintain compliance with site safety standards and procedures;
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for equipment reliability.
What you'll need to succeed:- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding);
- High Risk Work Licence;
- Working at Heights and Confined Space Entry tickets (preferred);
- Experience with heavy equipment;
- Strong welding and fabrication skills (MIG, TIG, Stick);
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings;
- Familiarity with equipment safety protocols and hazard identification;
- Full Australian working rights;
- Availability to work on weekends as required;
- Availability to work on remote sites as required.
